The turnover statistics for trading in domestic and international equities showed an upward trend last month. In April 2024, the Vienna Stock Exchange recorded an equity trading volume of EUR 5.21 billion. Compared to April 2023 (EUR 3.83 billion), this represents a significant plus of 36.1%. Year-to-date the trading volume in equities amounted to EUR 19.49 billion.
The most actively traded Austrian stocks last month were Erste Group Bank AG with EUR 794 million, ahead of OMV AG with EUR 794 million and Wienerberger AG with EUR 587 million.
